Cycles to Wings respects the privacy of young people, families, volunteers, partners, and website visitors. This policy explains how information may be collected, used, shared, and protected when you visit our website or complete one of our online forms.

Information we collect

We may collect information that you voluntarily provide, including your name, email address, phone number, city, ZIP code, program interests, volunteer interests, scheduling preferences, and messages sent to us. A parent or guardian joining the Caterpillars Pilot interest list may also provide a young person’s first name, age, grade, school, and areas of interest.

Our website and form providers may automatically process limited technical information—such as browser type, device information, IP address, and basic usage or security data—to operate and protect their services.

Young people’s privacy

Our public interest forms are intended to be completed by a parent or guardian—not independently by a child under 13. We do not intentionally request full birth dates, street addresses, medical records, Social Security numbers, school identification numbers, custody documents, or other highly sensitive information through the Caterpillars interest form. If we learn that information was submitted by a child under 13 without appropriate parental involvement, we will take reasonable steps to review and delete it.

Sharing and service providers

We do not sell personal information. We may use service providers, including our website host and Jotform, to operate the website and process form responses. Information may also be disclosed when required by law, necessary to protect a person’s safety, or needed to protect the organization’s rights and systems.

Retention and choices

We retain information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described above, organizational records, safety, or legal requirements. You may ask to review, correct, or delete information you submitted, or ask to stop receiving nonessential communications, by contacting us. Some records may need to be retained when required by law or legitimate organizational obligations.

Security and updates

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no online system can guarantee complete security. We may update this policy as our programs, forms, and practices develop. The effective date above will identify the current version.
